Last night, President Trump continued the message he campaigned on – that it is time to Make America Great Again. I am confident we will deliver on that promise. Most importantly, I was pleased to see the President’s optimism about the future of this nation. This is something that I share.

With the theme of “the renewal of the American spirit,” President Trump made it clear that he is looking to harness the energy and passion of everyday Americans and work to build a stronger, more united, and more prosperous country.
As you have heard me say time and time again, our key goals in the 115th Congress must be focused on reining in regulations hurting Main Street and stifling innovation and investment, unwinding Obamacare and restoring our nation’s health care system, and working towards a more secure country.

I am glad that President Trump put such an emphasis on these topics as well.

For us to truly reignite the engine of America’s economy, we must get government out of the way. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the 115th Congress and President Trump to do just that.

I ran for public office because of my kids and all future generations, so I applaud the President’s focus on the future of this country.
