National Federation of Independent Business Endorses Tom Emmer
Emmer has strong record in support of small business
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) for backing Main Street businesses in Congress.
“Small business owners drive our communities and our economy,” said Emmer. “Business confidence is at an all-time high, but challenges, like a tight labor market, remain. I am pleased to receive the NFIB’s endorsement as I intend to keep working on legislation to get the government out of the way of the ingenuity and risk taking of entrepreneurs.”
Congressman Emmer earned the endorsement based on his voting record in the 115th Congress on the issues important to small businesses, namely health care, regulation and taxes. This is the third endorsement for Emmer by the NFIB.
“Congressman Emmer has been a solid supporter of reducing barriers for small businesses,” said NFIB National Political Director Sharon Sussin. “He understands the cost imposed on business owners by taxes and regulations and has a track record of reducing those burdens.”
Founded in 1943, the NFIB is the voice of small and independent businesses in Washington D.C. and in state capitals across the country. Learn more about the NFIB here.
Emmer is currently serving his second term and is on the Financial Services Committee.
