Emmer Endorsed by Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation

Otsego, MN –  This week, the Minnesota Farm Bureau endorsed Congressman Tom Emmer for another term. The Minnesota Farm Bureau is the largest agricultural advocacy group in Minnesota consisting of 78 county Farm Bureaus and nearly 30,000 member families.

“Working on behalf of Farmers is one of the best parts of my job. As I’ve said many times, agriculture is one of the biggest drivers to Minnesota’s economy, and it is important that every elected official in Minnesota recognizes that. I’m very proud of what has been accomplished in my first few terms in Congress and look forward to tackling the big issues facing farmers in the future.”

Today, I wanted to share the most heartwarming story I’ve seen to date. Last month, Eagan Police Officers received a report about a 12 year old boy who had all $137 of his lemonade stand earnings stolen when he lost his wallet. Even though his wallet was eventually returned to him, it was completely empty. The officers said that his story stood out to them because he had worked exceptionally hard to earn that money and because of the theft, all of his work was about to go unrewarded

Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association Endorses Emmer

Otsego, MN – Congressman Tom Emmer’s reelection campaign received the endorsement of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA). Currently representing 10,400 public safety professionals and over 2,000 retired members, the MPPOA is the state’s oldest and largest police organization.

“It is truly an honor to have the confidence of Minnesota’s courageous law enforcement officers,” said Emmer. “The job of law enforcement officers is of the utmost importance when it comes to keeping our families and homes safe and peaceful, and for that and all their other important work, they deserve to have a strong voice in Congress. I could not be more proud to work in Washington to help ensure that our officers have the tools they need to selflessly protect and serve our communities.”

#ThankACop: 911 Dispatcher Marty O’Hehir

On April 16, 2020 at 12:30 PM, State Patrol Operator Marty O’Hehir received a 911 call at the Regional Traffic Management Center in Roseville from a man in his mid-30s who was driving around the Twin Cities. Traveling on I-94 at 100 mph, this man told O’Hehir he was determined to kill himself by either driving off the road into a ditch or up to Duluth and into a lake.
