Emmer Releases Radio Ad Recognizing MN Law Enforcement

Otsego, MN – This morning, Congressman Tom Emmer (MN-06) released a radio ad to help recognize Minnesota’s peace officers and the risks they take everyday to keep communities throughout Minnesota safe. The ad will run across the state for the next week and asks Minnesotans to visit ThankMinnesotaPolice.com and leave a message of gratitude or encouragement for their local officers.

“I have been talking with peace officers across Minnesota over the past few months, and it saddens me to see that they are experiencing a lack of public support and low morale,” said Congressman Emmer. “Though words can never repay the sacrifices they and their families make for our communities, I believe it is important to support them in every way we can.”

Emmer added, “While we recognize we are in the heat of a campaign season, we chose to release the ad to the entire state of Minnesota more as a public service announcement than a political message. I feel strongly that public safety and the work of our brave men and women in uniform binds us all together and gives us a reason to thank them.”
