The current administration MUST ENSURE that Americans are safely evacuated from Afghanistan, and men and women from across the country are headed overseas to help in this effort.

#ThankACop: MN State Troopers

I wanted to share a heartwarming story this morning about the heroic and life saving work of our Minnesota State Troopers.

On Tuesday, Col. Matt Langer introduced Jenapher Blair to three of the five troopers who recently saved her life by making an emergency “blood run” after the delivery of her third child. After her baby girl was born, Jenapher faced emergency medical complications and required an immediate blood transfusion. However, Hutchinson Health Hospital did not have enough blood for Jenapher and the closest blood donation was 80 miles away.

#ThankACop: Metro Citizens Police Academy

For the past 20 years, several law enforcement agencies in the St. Cloud area have teamed up to offer an eight week course that aims to teach residents about police training and procedures.

The course, named the Metro Citizens Police Academy, is hosted by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and police departments from five surrounding cities: St. Cloud, St. Joseph, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, and Waite Park. It meets on Thursday nights for four hours throughout September and October. Residents of Stearns County can register here before August 28th to join the Academy.
